The most unstable area of a golf shaft is its tip section. Due to its direct connect to the club head, it is subjected to the mot impact force. In order to maximize the transmision of feel from the club head to the golfer, the diameter of the tip section is often kept small, making it vulnerable to twisting, bending and deformation. With our patented FTT, the diameter of the tip section is gradually enlarged to increase its stability and resistance to bend and torque, hence improving its consistency and accuracy. Near the end of the tip section, the Flair Tip is tapered back down to a normal diameter to preserve the shaft’ feel.
