PACOIMA,
Calif. Ñ In the highly competitive graphite shaft
industry in which tour exposure is paramount, the
popularity of Harrison graphite shafts is on the
rise. More than twice the number of Harrison shafts
were in play this week from the same time last year,
and at this week's Booz Allen Classic in Bethesda,
Md., Harrison stepped up to win the sixth-place
money position with its Striper Tour 70 graphite
shaft
"We've
doubled the number of Harrison shafts in play over
the last year, and there's no question that Harrison
graphite shafts are garnering more attention among
the pros," says Arnie Cunningham, PGA Tour representative
for Harrison Sports. "The Harrison Striper Tour,
which took sixth-place this weekend on the PGA Tour,
is a great example. The Striper
Tour graphite shaft generates a low spin rate
and slightly higher launch angle, and it provides
an incredibly consistent shot dispersion that the
pros really appreciate."
